Michelin-Star Omakase Artisan, chef Atsushi Okawara formerly led the kitchen at The Den at Azabu Miami Beach, an intimate omakase counter-style restaurant that earned Michelin Stars in both 2022 and 2023 under his direction.
A master of Edomae-style omakase, Chef Okawara brings over two decades of international experience from Japan, Canada, and the United States. His approach is rooted in precision and tradition, while celebrating seasonality and innovation.
Every course he presents is part of a deeply curated tasting journey — where the integrity of each ingredient is honored with exacting technique and artistry. Prior to Azabu, he helped lead Kenzo Restaurant in Napa Valley to its first Michelin star, and continues to elevate the omakase experience through purity, harmony, and elegant restraint.
